Music Lust: Recommended Listening for every Mood, Moment, and Reason
by Nic Harcourt Posted by Picasa
Another birthday gift for Cindi. It is very much like Book Lust and is actually from the same publisher. She is a huge fan of Nic Harcourt. He does a great music show - Morning Becomes Eclectic and he's the music guy for KCRW. I'm sure we'll get some great music ideas from this one.

Recipes from a Vegetarian Goddess: Delectable Feasts Through the Seasons
by Karri Allrich Posted by Picasa
I love this cookbook! I had it on my wish list for years after a good friend of mine had it. By the time I went to place an order it was out of print. Luckily I found it at [Capricorn's Lair]. I've used it many times and every recipe I've prepared I've loved. The recipes are all separated by season using fresh vegetables, herbs and spices. I plan to make a spicy hummus for our Mabon Potluck.
**Update**
The hummus was wonderful and was a big hit at the Mabon potluck. I hope to use another recipe from this book in the near future.

Living Religions
by Mary Pat Fisher Posted by Picasa
Another book for school; World Religions. I just hope there isn't a huge concentration on religions with male deities. It would be nice to discuss paganism, nature-bases spirituality and Goddess worship. I'm all about educating others about my beliefs and being rid of the incorrect stereotype that witches worship the devil and all pagan holidays are in honor of the satan; it couldn't be further from the truth.

Living in the Environment: Principles, Connections, and Solutions
by G. Tyler and Jr. Miller Posted by Picasa
Another book for school for my Environmental Science class. With all the current news regarding natural disasters and global warming I have high hopes for this class.
**Update**
I really like this book! It stresses the interconnectedness of everything; it sits so well with everything I believe. The continuing cycle of life and everything on this planet. Nothing is ever destroyed it just changes form. It was the perfect class to take with a world religions class, at least for me because my spirituality and the environment are intertwined and deeply connected.

Wedding Goddess: A Divine Guide to Transforming Wedding Stress into Wedding Bliss
by Laurie Sue Brockway
A birthday gift from Cindi (yes I am spoiled). We had been eyeing this book for awhile. It seems to be a good source in incorporating the Goddess into wedding rituals. It is a book aimed at straight couples but we're hoping the Goddess aspect with outweigh that. I'll update once I've read it. The cover art is beautiful and according to the back cover it should be a good source for planning our wedding.
**Update**
I started reading this recently and I really like it. It has some wonderful ideas for bringing wedding planning back to ourselves. She proposed creating a wedding altar to make space in your home for wishes and dreams we want manifested at our wedding. I created one that day. She proposes using meditation as a tool to discover what we really want for out wedding day. Things I should know but forget. This will probably be the best wedding we book we get.

The Best of Friends *Completed*

The Best of Friends
by R. J. Stevens Posted by Picasa
Book number two we ordered from [InSightOut] in order to close the account. It is a novel about four women friends. Will update once I read it.
**Update**
We started reading this. When I was home sick I asked Cindi if she would read it to me, my head hurt too bad to try to read it myself. It was so nice to be read to! I hadn't experienced that in so long. It may seem silly but we're now reading to each other most every night before bed. It will take longer to read, but it's a nice way for us to read the same book.
The story is cute; It's about several lesbian friends who work as police officers/medics/fire- fighters and one who owns a bookstore. There's even a bit of witchcraft mixed in to it. It's an easy read but very cute. I'm sure we'll love it-we do so far.
**Update**
I just had to add this. For my birthday Cindi got me the Sims2 game so I created our family in the game. Over the weekend my sister got me the new expansion pack so I played our family for a bit [haven't played in months] and I realized that my girl is an EMT and Cindi's girl's aspiration is to be a cop. One of the couples in this book is an EMT and a cop. I just thought that was pretty funny... We've only got a few chapters left. We finished it tonight.

What the L? *Completed*

What the L?
by Kate Clinton Posted by Picasa
Cindi joined yet another book club, this one [Zooba] you receive one book every month for $9.95. You keep a wish list on line and every month they send you out the next on your list. It's free shipping and you only have to buy three books before you can cancel. Even extra books you buy through out the month are $9.95 with free shipping. Cindi joined this month and I'll probably join after I cancel my one spirit account. I glanced at their web site and they have a great selection of books. This is Cindi's first book on her list. I can deal with a guaranteed one new book a month.
**Update**
I started reading this over the weekend, I am again creating a stack of books I'm reading, a bad habit of mine. I haven't read much but I really like it! It's full of previously printed articles what I would classify as political satire. Some of it is familiar as they were printed in The Advocate and The Progressive; both of which we subscribe to.
**Update**
I finished reading this book today. I really enjoyed her political commentary with a bit of sentiment and seriousness thrown in. I love her humor and hope to get some more of her stuff in the near future.

Eragon
by Christopher Paolini Posted by Picasa
This is the book we will be getting this month from [Zooba]. I've had my eye on it for quite some time. We gave it to my cousin's twelve year old son for his birthday last month and he loved it. We both have high expectations for it. I just recently learned that the author was only fifteen when he started this book. The second book came out recently and I imagine we'll be getting that one as well.

Box Lunch: The Layperson's Guide to Cunnilingus
by Diana Cage Posted by Hello
Another book we are waiting for after Cindi took an on-line reading survey. We've been waiting awhile now...
**Update**
We finally got it! It's much smaller than we thought it would be, but packed full of pussy lickin' good times!
